good to see you! did you not get a boatload of snow over there? when this starts melting there may be flooding and the temps are still below freezing so that when the sun goes down it def re-freezes.
xsboy still has two exams to take, which appear to be on track for tomorrow. xsfrosh’s school is closed til after break, though she was supposed to go today and tomorrow.
i guess i just have to BELIEVE harder!

We got hardly any snow....tho it was real pretty because it came after dark Saturday night.
I was really surprised school wasn’t delayed this morning, because of the flooding......our flooding was mostly because of the winds and tides, altho excess water had something to do with it.

All the Christmas letters I got from friends were doomish/gloomish, too, even the one from a friend who is always chirpy and dripping Karo syrup. All in all, it has made me just want to sit in the middle of the kitchen floor and have a good howl with Husky girl-but that might alarm the neighbors. I pray fervently that next year is better for all of us.
After several days of unrelenting cold, mist and gloom, it is at last sunny and 63-but it is nothing like the blizzard conditions where y’all are.
Ever since I put up and decorated the tree, I have been picking up apple and bird ornaments up off the floor where the cats and dog have knocked them down and used them for toys.
I know, i do too. it is very unsettling and anxiety-provoking. i just have no lightheartedness or Christmas spirit to exude. it’s sad!

i think your cats are being bad influences on husky girl! we have three trees up and the dogs are not remotely interested in any of them. now if i had them festooned with pieces of chicken or dog treats, THAT they would be interested in!
I think it’s kosher. Better the sincere intention to go to individual confession than some mass universal absolution.
the sin is still staining the soul which is presenting itself for communion though.

I do but it takes work. Lots of Christmas movies and Christmas tv specials does the trick. And Christmas tunes, especially of the humorous/parody variety.
It ain't easy this year to have the Christmas spirit, but it can be done.
And there is Christmas Ale in the fridge, too.
