Here in Los Angeles KNX used to broadcast the old radio shows at 9:00pm. I enjoyed listening to them. They stopped the practice a few years ago now. I really miss them.

Merry Christmas Viking. We got hit hard, probably 20” all around Baltimore. I feel bad for everyone how didn't dig their cars out today, it'll be ice tomorrow. It was hard today.

One day of work tomorrow and I'm off off for two weeks. Looking forward to it. The big broadcast schedule has some shows Christmas eve and Christmas, so more this week.

There are bloodstains, and an empty .22 bullet cartridge, in the area where the boy was last seen. Friday and Romero talk to his mother, Ruth. The father is a fireman named George. They discover that the .22 rifle that had been bought as a Christmas present for Stanley was missing. Lieutenant Lee Jones from the police lab reports that the blood was human, type O, which is the same as Stanley's. Officer Levinson finds the gun behind the Johnstone house, and reports that another 8 year old boy, Steven Moreheim, is now missing, too. Mrs. John (Edith) Moreheim is interviewed by Friday and Romero. She says her son's blood type is O. Stanley Johnstone has come home, acting strangely according to his mother. Friday and Romero talk to Stanley, who says he killed Steve by accident, and then he carried him to a cave where he hid him, and prayed to God that Steve come back to life. The body is recovered. The police are convinced that it was an accident. John Moreheim is devastated. He wants to see Stanley. Forgivingly, he wants to give Stanley the Christmas presents that were to be Steven's.

Charlie tries to talk him out of it. He tells Joe to come to Brighton's Department Store where he works as Santa Claus and maybe he can get a job, too. Joe is very cynical about Christmas. Joe gets his own gun, and borrows Charlie's Santa suit. Joe rings the bell at the Malloy residence wearing the Santa suit. Lucille is home alone and lets him in. Mike is working. Joe tells her that he is going to kill both of them for double crossing him. Joe turns on the radio too loudly and wakes the two kids, Lucy and Mikey. The kids are excited to see Santa, and climb all over him and kiss him. He tells them to go back top bed so he can finish delivering toys to the other girls and boys. The kids have touched Joe. Mike Malloy comes home. Joe surrenders his gun, saying he would rather go back to prison for parole violation rather than murder. The Malloys are not going to make a complaint.

We're glad we didn't decide to come up this weekend, and are waiting until Wednesday. I-77 and I-81 thru Virginia were a nightmare - closings, trucks jack-knifed, and miles of backups. I think we'll stay on the main drags and come in via Hagerstown - I doubt those West Virginia back roads are going to be 100%. That's great news. Old Time Radio always celebrated Christmas in a big way with programs dedicated to the Christmas spirit. Sadly, not so much in today's secular commie entertainment industry.

I think the door was a good, old-fashioned sound effect prop that the Joy Boys used on their radio show. And just got word that schools up there are canceled for tomorrow because the roads are such a mess. We'll definitely be on the main drags into town.
