Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, told hospital staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center he did not want an autopsy performed on his deceased wife, multiple sources tell TMZ.
We're told, however, despite Monjack's wishes, the L.A. County Coroner's office will perform an autopsy on Murphy. As we first reported, Murphy went into cardiac arrest this morning and could not be revived.
TMZ has also learned Britney Murphy's mother, who found Murphy unconscious in the shower and called 911, told paramedics her daughter had a history of diabetes. We have not been able to confirm if Murphy did indeed have diabetes, and if so, whether it contributed to her death.
Red flag.
Not really much choice in the matter. It’s entirely up to the coroner. I’d bet a weeks salary that there will be an autopsy, as there would for any otherwise healthy 32 year old woman who dies of coronary arrest.
if she really had diabetes it could lead to a Schiavo type death, but I suspect other things are involved here.
I refer to the circumstances that led Terri Schiavo to have a heart attack which could have been fatal.
Glad they will do one regardless of his wishes.
Sounds like the tox report will be most revealing.
I am guessing Coke-a Cola.
She musta been on some good stuff. Her husband is known to be a true scumbag.
I wonder what he’s hiding?
Exactly..sounds like this guy has something to hide..doing coke together, meth, God knows what, but whatever it is, he knows its gonna show up in autopsy
All the sympathy for her mom and those who loved this woman.
Wow girls, work hard, get a smidgen of fame, and you too could be married to a prize like that!
I know everyone’s thinking drugs or diet problems...but it is not easy sometimes for family to consent to autopsy.
My uncle died in his bed at the age of 52. It was probably a large heart attack. At least, that’s what it looked like.
My aunt did NOT want autopsy. It was too much for her to take. I was there that morning and gently suggested that it would be a good thing, because it would tell if there was a condition he had that my cousins needed to be aware of hereditarily...but when the cousins arrived...they also wanted no autopsy and said they would be vigilant of their health regardless.
None of us knows what caused this...it’s just plain sad.
Any way you slice it, whether it was drugs or nutrition or biology...it is sad.
It should just remind us all to treasure our hours and days because you never know what might happen to you or to those you love.
A 32 year old starlet dies and he thinks there is a choice about an autopsy? ;-)
Nice try.
Pain killers, including Vicodin?
