Maybe it was nine lives, but one feline is lucky to be alive after he was found with his paws glued to a Minnesota interstate, KSFY.com reported.
A couple saw the cat on the side of the road and thought it had been injured by a car, the KSFY.com reported. But the cat was stuck, though its paw pads were ripped off by the glue when the couple removed him from the road, the site reported.....

Ooooh, snap!
Seriously, thanks for that. Some days, DJMac and I are sorta lonely. :)
are you outraged by this ?

This is far more heart wrenching than kitty cat gets paws glued to pavement.
So are you outraged?
Maybe you don't quite realize what the end goal of these "cruelty to animal" stories are. The end goal is to shut down the meat industry.
Thanks Julia!
I am in the same boat as you, Freeper Sister, only my “kid” is a dog. You aren’t alone.
I wouldn’t jump to conclusions. Isn’t it possible that the cat got into something sticky or gooey and then got frozen to the ground? The story doesn’t provide any details as to how they concluded this was deliberate.
Actually, you can be outraged at BOTH. I know that I am. And, you should know that whoever did this to a helpless animal will likely one day do this to a helpless human, probably starting with a child. Take off your blinders. This behavior is a big red flag.
The person’s heart is in the right place, it’s just that he or she can’t make the connection between the abuse of the helpless. Anyone who would do this to an animal will most likely eventually “graduate” to humans; if they value life so little, they also probably support abortion.
I understand why it matters to the owner of a pet who has emotionally bonded to it, but why does it matter to other people.
I was driving a very large church bus full of kids back in the early 1990’s and accidentally ran over a golden retriever. I felt nothing for the dog but very sad for the owner who truly loved that pet. The dog felt a moment of discomfort and that was it. The owner has a fully developed human brain and emotional system - and was still alive. She felt true emotional pain. That is not a good thing, except she is probably over it now and tries to keep any pets she has in a yard or on a chain.
Some people take that whole “God giving man dominion over animals” thing to mean that it’s OK to do whatever you want to them with no worries about racking up Holy Demerits.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but on many pet threads, these people come spout the same talking points. It is annoying! And it’s always the same talking points. The posters appear to take turns. It isn’t gaining them any fans.
I have no understanding of people who don't care about causing any living creature pain. You have my sympathy for your callous attitude and lack of understanding. Animals feel pain. You don't care. Believe me, I get it.
Callousness is a blight on their soul.
I think it takes a human brain to interpret any stimulus as “pain”. What animals do is react, as their pre-programming tells them to.
My wife’s maltipoo was hit by a truck last week. The dog was rolled around under the center of the truck (which had a high ground clearance) and came out the back. He had a bit of a limp which went away two days later. But After the accident he went on autopilot. He just wanted to get away from what happened to him. It took him a few days to get over it.
Animals are controlled by a very sophisticated CPU capable of AI. And they NEED to respond to nervous system stimuli to survive. It does not mean they feel “pain”. They merely mimic what we interpret as a response to “pain”.
Until someone can convince me otherwise, that is.
Heck, I can program a robot to act hurt or scream when pressure is applied to the tops of it’s toes. It does not mean it feels pain.
I’m very sorry for you. Truly.
>>Im very sorry for you. Truly.<<
I’m fine! ;)
Malarky. They feel pain, both emotional and physical pain. I have three cats, all three "rescue" cats who were severely abused (in the case of two, the police had it on tape). They felt every blow. Moreover, since two of them were in the same abusive household, when one begins to have spasms (probably brought on by memories of his abuse), the other rushes to comfort him--and stays with him until he's calmed down. Looks like compassion to me. Which, evidently, is more than can be said of some humans.
For the life of me, I will never understand why some people insist animals can't feel or think. In a way, it's rather like the callous people who insist an unborn child is really just a wad of tissue. Both types are totally wrong.
Yes, it is a blight on their souls. Sad for them, all the more so because they are so very hardened to the suffering of others (including animals, but not limited to just animals) that they don’t see how it cripples them.
You mentioned the same types using the same talking points on each animal thread. Actually I think there are two categories—one is the animal haters, the other is the group who hope to stop the murder of the unborn. Of the two, I’d much rather see something by the pro-lifers, because at least they do have compassion for helpless lives.

Except an unborn child is formed in God’s image.
I divide creation into two groups:
1. Man
2. Natural resource.
Then you've missed their whacked posts about replacing children with animals and "they" are trying to get us to stop eating meat etc. They are disrupters.
