Being sick in front of the boss at the office Christmas party is the biggest faux pas for Britain's workers, a new report has shown. And half of Britain's workforce think that festive party mishaps can have career damaging results according to a Christmas dating study by Singles365.com.
The survey of more than 1,000 Britons found that Innappropriate behaviour should be avoided at all costs in a bid to safeguard jobs and career prospects. The worst behaviour included being sick in front of your boss (47per cent), telling the boss what you really think of him (46per cent) and becoming drunk and emotional (40per cent).
Almost four in 10 thought drunkenly resigning was bad while three in 10 ranked photocopying a part of your anatomy as a major faux pas.
The results revealed that men cite telling your boss what you really think of him/her as the worst party faux pas whereas women rank being sick in front of your boss as the most potentially career damaging behaviour.
However, although it is universally agreed that innappropriate office party behaviour is damaging there is a difference of opinion across the UK.
Workers in Northern Ireland are most anti bad party behaviour with 64 per cent saying it is career damaging, 57 per cent of Scottish workers agreed as did 55 per cet of North Easterners however, Welsh workers said that although bad office party ettiquete should not be encouraged 39 per cent said it was just harmless fun.....

Flounder: I can’t believe I threw up in front of Dean Wormer.
Boon: Face it, Kent. You threw up *on* Dean Wormer.
Personally, I’m surprised getting caught doing the deed didn’t rate a mention.
Or shagging the boss' wife in the supply room. (Not that I have any personal experience doing such a thing)
I want to see that 50% of their workforce who don’t think bad office party behavior can affect their career and that 70% (well, I don’t want to literally see them) who think photocopying private parts is okay.
Maybe the American workforce is more competitive worldwide than I thought...
Drinking at any company sponsored event is a bad idea...
I can’t even remember when the last time my company had such an event, usually nowadays you get the pot-luck lunch, and that’s about it.
I always thought it was shagging his wife or mistress.

I have always lived by that rule.
I will sometimes have one drink, but rarely.
It is a blast watching what some people do.
Drinking to excess yes ... having a drink or two and maintaining proper decorum can actually be a career enhancer. It shows discipline.
You beat me to it!
