The resignation was first reported by ESPN 980 in Washington. D.C.

Now....if Dan Snyder would resign as owner,we might have a chance at becoming a winning team again...
Zorn stays?
HE must have been caught betting against the Skins!
No way.
My read, Holmgren as GM, Zorn as Head Coach and Sherm Lewis as offensive coordinator. Absent that, then we are looking at Cower and Shanahan. Inside scope says Cower to Cleveland, Shanahan to Dallas.
Snyder was finally getting hit in the pocketbook by all the empty seats not buying $8 beers. That is the only thing that will get him moving.
There may actually be adults in charge next year.
Glazer reports that Redskins coaches were advised today that the teams is in talks with former Raiders and Buccaneers executive Bruce Allen...
The arrival of Allen undoubtedly would trigger speculation that the next move would be to dump coach Jim Zorn and pursue Jon Gruden, who partnered with Allen both in Oakland and Tampa.
Clearly part of a deal with some big-name coach to get him to come to DC.
“Now....if Dan Snyder would resign as owner,we might have a chance at becoming a winning team again...”
Isn’t that the truth.
Cowher to Cleveland? That’ll make some heads explode in the ‘burgh.
Is that announced or are you just speculating? Cower is a good coach - would have liked him in DC. News says Bruce Allen (Coach George Allens grandson) has been named GM. This means Skins will have John Gruden as headcoach next year. Allen worked at Raiders and Tampa with Gruden. Look for Skins to get back to hitting instead of west coast offense. Think I kinda of like it. Think Campbell will be retained and offensive line improved. Remember, Gruden likes to collect QBs.
I was reacting to your post. I have no information concerning Cowher.
Just a guess, but in my opinion if Cowher gets back into coaching, it will almost certainly be with Carolina.
My info is Cower will go to Cleveland - best set up a coach could want. Cleveland has disposessed itself of all atitude and performance problems, has beau coup draft picks, and plenty of salary cap room. Carolina would require Cower to rebuild the team and we all know that takes 3 years and most coaches don’t last that long losing. Further, Cower at Cleveland would make the Steeler/Browns rivalry one of the hottest watched games every season. Money in the bank for both Steeler/Browns owners. Grude at DC, Cower at Cleveland, Shanahan at Dallas. Those are my picks as of 11:06 AM. In an hour or two it will probably change. Just sayin
I agree with you, this means there's a strong chance that Gruden is the next coach.
“Sherm Lewis as offensive coordinator”
Sherm has turned this team around without Portis.
The XXXXskins almost beat Dullass.
As a Ravens fan we get the skins on TV far too often, so I actually caught that game.
I try to avoid them whenever possible, unless it’s to watch them get the living shirt kicked out of them.
It’s Chucky time!

I’d buy Shanahan to Dallas. I’ve been saying that since Denver fired him. And if the ‘Boys keep playing this December like they have in previous Decembers, I don’t think Wade is going to be around much longer. It would also be the second time a team has hired Shanahan to replace Phillips.
