If vitamin E acts like a magic bullet for lung cancer, why will it not work for lung cancer?

For over 10 years now I have heard of numerous studies that would indicate that vitamin E, i.e. beta-carotene does not work for lung cancer, and that it actually increases the risk of smokers developing lung cancer.

I think she meant fertilizer for lung cancer. Taking suppliments along with smoking, increased the risk of cancer.
