Why don't car companies put out a line of "classics". They would look just like the cars we all love - but would have a new engines, better paint ( same original colors ) and modern on board computers...

It only takes money

A Barrett-Jackson Auction mid-50s T-Bird or late 60s Camaro restoration or retro-mod can (often) be bought for less than a dumb new Toyota Sushi-SS or Honda Uglyville-GT

Original “colors” are available - but FED Regs make water-based clearcoats the thing now

We built/swapped AC-(Bristol)-Vettes in Florida before Shelby saw and copied them a few years later with smaller slower Ford SB engines)
