Fifty Ugliest Cars of the Past 50 Years
A Half-Century of Automotive Eyesores By Damian Joseph
Considering how many new cars are rolled out every year, it's no surprise that a few might be just plain homely. There's a chance that certain styles might become fashionable with a dash of retro hip. (Well, maybe not from the 1970s.) But for the most part, the following 50 cars will never be anything but design duds.

My best friend’s father had 3 of those...he had a bumper sticker that said “i think your car looks funny too”
Oh, I fully loved the Citroen, the hydraulic system was superb. But the car was butt ugly.
Now, the Citroen SM.................... that is a classic.
I always thought the PTs were ugly, but apparently a lot of people like them.
Gosh, I owned a Pacer and a Pinto and my wife currently owns a Honda Element in the colors shown.
SM or DS, both are beautiful in their own ways. How many cars out there can raise themselves up to change a flat, or even drive on three wheels only, if they had to?
Is the Honda Element the one that looks like a breadbox?
I like that Valiant(I was born in 71). Doesn’t have great lines but looks clean and classy(is that the word). Did it have built in reverb in the radio?
OK, for the ultimate flame)))
The Delorean was UGLY pos and so was early 80s Camaro..
Favorite? Anything corvette.
ha! the Grizwald mobile!!!
“You think you hate it now, just wait till you drive it.”
lol
No Maverick but the Pinto’s there.
Half of these are perfectly decent looking cars. I really don’t think too many people’s aesthetic sensibilities are offended by a BMW 7 Series.
that damn thing looks like a Parrot fish!
The PT Cruiser. Uck!
beat me by a mile.
good job.
Only 400 of them available, and for a cool $90k apiece. Better get in line!
Best looking car: 1963 Vette with the split rear window, don’t see many of those anymore.
