WalMart is a great store, and almost all of the associates are good at customer service, but at my store, the checkers leave a lot to be desired. I actually stopped going there because I got overcharged (double entries, wrong — more expensive — item entered) every single time and had to “take it to customer service” each time. And yes, the checkers are still there. I got fed up and took my business elsewhere except for a few items. They went from $$$ from me each week to $ every three weeks or so.

I still shop at WalMart. I've found that every retailer has a similar quality of checkers. Some are good, some are not so good. Every grocery store I shop has errors in their computer which cause some product codes to not display or charge the correct item prices. I simply believe the I T people who update the systems daily to reflect current prices are doing a poor job. It usually isn't the checkers job to keep the computers updated. I do watch them pretty close and I watch the item cost as it displays after being scanned or weighed. While I have no control over people who want to rip me off, I have a lot of control over not allowing someone to rip me off.
