I still shop at WalMart. I've found that every retailer has a similar quality of checkers. Some are good, some are not so good. Every grocery store I shop has errors in their computer which cause some product codes to not display or charge the correct item prices. I simply believe the I T people who update the systems daily to reflect current prices are doing a poor job. It usually isn't the checkers job to keep the computers updated. I do watch them pretty close and I watch the item cost as it displays after being scanned or weighed. While I have no control over people who want to rip me off, I have a lot of control over not allowing someone to rip me off.

After several months, I have not found a single error in my register tapes from the new store. Also, my expenditure is comparable, which I did not expect.

I’m not exaggerating. It was every week, and I got dang tired of visiting Customer Service every shopping day. I don’t know what the problem was, and I don’t care. It’s my job to maximize my own shopping experience, and if it takes switching stores, so be it. I informed WalMart Customer Service of the reason why I would not be shopping there anymore, and that was the end of my responsibility to them.

If they want me back, they can solve their problem and let me know. Otherwise I’ll stick to the store that has catered to me insofar as my requirements.

Also, I find it impossible to watch every item being scanned while also loading the belt with my purchases, digging out my wallet, and handing in coupons. I check my receipt before leaving the store.
