Forgive me for stifling a yawn.

None of these movies interest me...or for that matter, the players. I can't understand what the fascination with George Clooney is about, for example. He's no actor; he's just a face.

Thank goodness for DVD players and Turner Classic Movies. I seldom go to the theater anymore. Why pay $12 or whatever it is now for the privilege of sitting next to crying babies or people who can't stop talking, when you can watch a good movie in the privacy and quiet of your own home?

Also, if you can discipline yourself to wait 6 months, these films are usually available in your local public library. For instance, the much hyped DARK KNIGHT ( where the late Heath Ledger won the Best Supporting Actor Oscars ) is now available in my library. Last year's Oscar winner --- SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE is also available in my library. I've seen BOTH -- 6 months later ( without paying a cent -- come to think of it, I already paid whether I watch them or not, through my property taxes ).
