Didn’t know the Taco Bell dog had died. Era un perro muy exitoso y famoso.
I missed when Mary Travers died. I was goofing on the net and came up on this; I’d also forgotten about some of them.
I liked Pat Hingle. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0385757/
Gene Barry as Bat Masterson also brings back fond memories.

RIP gentlemen.
US Senator. A member of the prominent Kennedy and Fitzgerald families, he attended Harvard University before being expelled for cheating on an exam. After serving in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953, he was readmitted to Harvard, graduating in 1956. He then studied at The Hague's International Law School, and received his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1959.
kinda tickled me
To those interested, find a grave is also a great genealogical tool. You’ll be surprised what you’ll find, and kudos to the volunteers who take the pictures and inventory the cemeteries.
Yeah, I’ve always liked the site. They don’t allow dissing the deceased on the virtual flowers, but they’re pretty good about letting the unvarnished truth in the memorials.
Hingle was one of those guys that was in everything but I never knew his name until seeing his death notice.
How and why did that liquor pig Ted Kennedy get into Arlington National Cemetery? What a disgrace to the men and women who earned their option to be buried there.
While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England, pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged.
Thanks for this thread and the link.
Just found several of my family there. the pictures of the old headstones are a very very nice touch.
I didn’t know Frank McCourt had died. I hated his book, but enjoyed a show on “Great Pubs of Dublin” that he hosted.
All of my known ancestors are there. I love the site. Course, I also enjoy walking through old cemeteries and reading the head stones.
Why is the Taco Bell dog so low on that list?
.
You can also find the virtual graves of famous people and leave virtual flowers and/or a note for them.
Marilyn Monroe has the most, I believe, at 11,700- even beating out Elvis by some 4,000 messages.

I went to the site and typed in “Harry Reid,” alas, no luck, maybe tomorrow.
I dunno. I liked her more than Kennedy.
Thanks. That’s a good one.
