I have a website using Frontpage. It has been good to me. Easy to use, but Frontpage is showing its age. Tried Dreamweaver but had to send it back because it would not run with my Vista 64 bit machine. Adobe was very nice about it.
I would love to find a more flexible solution that I could just upgrade my site into. Microsoft has a new website software called Expression and a newer version called Expression 3. I am not looking for slam-bang software, my site is mostly text and links. I am looking to be able to place advertising and have some structural flexibility and better search capabilities. Has anyone here worked with Expression and done an upgrade from Frontpage. Or is it the nature of web design software to be redesigned with each product change?
No, it was the lastest and best. They couldnt get it to work.
I want to be able to put more columns in for advertising See your freepmail
Tried dreamweaver, didnt work on my computer...to the extent that adobe refunded my monies. Nice peple, nice software that never ever ran.
Looks like it doesnt work on vista. Am I going to have to replace the vista?
I would replace Vista just on principle. Windows 7 is more stable. Having said that, there is a “known feature” in Dreamweaver CS4 as it interacts with Windows 7 (and Vista). It’s unavoidable, but there is a workaround that’s easily managed. Adobe has known about this issue since Vista service pack 2 and has no intention of fixing it. It’s really weird, because Dreamweaver doesn’t behave this way with XP.
