LONDON British researchers say there is little evidence Tamiflu stops complications in healthy people who catch the flu, though public health officials contend the swine flu drug reduces flu hospitalizations and deaths.

Tamiflu ping.
Who sponsored the study? Do you really want to trust British researchers?
So not shocked.. Follow the money.
My wife called our doctor when our children were sick and he said he did not give Tamiflu.
He said Tamiflu has terrible side affects. Pregnant women should not take it yet they were told they were the priority.
“Rare but serious skin reactions and allergic reactions have been reported. Stop taking TAMIFLU and call your doctor if you experience any of these reactions, as they could be very serious.
People with the flu, particularly children and adolescents, may be at an increased risk of self injury and confusion shortly after taking TAMIFLU and should be closely monitored for signs of unusual behavior. A healthcare professional should be contacted immediately if the patient taking TAMIFLU shows any signs of unusual behavior.
The most common side effects of TAMIFLU are mild to moderate nausea and vomiting. TAMIFLU is generally well tolerated.
In addition, take the following precautions when using TAMIFLU:
* You should not take TAMIFLU if you are allergic to oseltamivir phosphate or any other ingredients of TAMIFLU.
* TAMIFLU is normally not recommended for use during pregnancy or nursing, as the effects on the unborn child or nursing infant are unknown. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding while taking TAMIFLU, talk to your doctor before taking TAMIFLU.
* If you have any type of kidney disease, talk to your doctor before starting TAMIFLU therapy.
* The use of TAMIFLU along with an intranasal flu vaccine like FluMist®* has not been evaluated. However, due to the possibility for interference between these products, an intranasal flu vaccine should not be given within 2 weeks before or 48 hours after taking TAMIFLU, unless it is deemed appropriate by your doctor. The type of flu vaccine administered as a shot through the skin can be given at any time relative to use of TAMIFLU.”
I trusted mom once.
British researchers. First of all review global warming scam,, 2nd, realize that national health service doesn’t want to purchase tamiflu.
F-ing liars.
Yeah, Tamiflu may or not work, but asking NHS to fund a study as to whether an expensive drug works or not is like asking Michael Mann if Antropogenic Global Warming exists.
thanks , for the ping :)
I know alot of people have heated thoughts on Tamiflu . I do know of the true horror of some Tamiflu personal accounts . I know there can be very bad side effects , etc...
But I have read where Tamiflu has helped Freepers with H1N1 in their personal accounts on other threads . They saw a big difference right away .
I know it has helped some of my family members . The one person was on heavy duty antibiotics for 2 days and still felt very ill . They then tried Tamiflu while still taking antibiotics and within one hour started to feel better ASAP ! They noticed a major change right after taking Tamiflu and I have read that Tamiflu is very fast reacting etc..
While being on heavy duty antibiotics for 2 days there was still no improvement until they took Tamiflu . Within 1 hour on Tamiflu there was a major difference .
My gut instinct tells me this woman below would still be alive today if she was given Tamiflu .
Flu Victim Familys Statement

Our family would like to express thanks to the Shock and Trauma unit at IMCH. And to those who have prayed and supported our family over the past 2 weeks.
Francine and her mother became ill with the flu two weeks ago today. Her mother tested positive and was treated for the flu and has since recovered. Francine tested negative and was sent home. Her health continued to decline, and three days later she was taken to Jordan Valley Hospital. For the second time she tested negative, was sent home, and told to increase fluids and rest.
We begged the doctors to treat her with Tama flu because it had helped her mother, but they refused because her test had come back negative. After another three days she became incapacitated, and was again taken to Jordan Valley where she was admitted and found to have pneumonia, plus all of the symptoms associated with the flu, but once again tested negative. At this point she had had the flu for approximately eight days, untreated. Her condition continued to decline, and on Tuesday was transferred to IMC Hospital. By this time her body was so ravaged from the virus that her kidneys and lungs started to fail and brain activity had diminished. On Wednesday, June 10 we received a positive Type-A flu test, and on Thursday we received, from the CDC, a positive test for H1N1, Swine Flu.
After fighting a valiant battle she succumbed to this illness. It has been reported that she had underlying illnesses that contributed to her death, but according to her doctors she died from lung damage, kidney failure, and brain damage which were all strong and healthy prior to contracting the virus.
