What's blue and white, squiggly and suddenly appears in the sky?
If you know the answer, pop it on a postcard and send it to the people of Norway, where this mysterious light display baffled residents yesterday.
Curiously, it appears to be unconnected with the aurora borealis, or northern lights, the natural magnetic phenomena that can often be viewed in that part of the world.
. . .
The mystery began when a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain in the north of the country. It stopped mid-air, then began to move in circles. Within seconds a giant spiral had covered the entire sky. Then a green-blue beam of light shot out from its centre - lasting for ten to 12 minutes before disappearing completely.
Onlookers describing it as 'like a big fireball that went around, with a great light around it' and 'a shooting star that spun around and around'.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute was flooded with telephone calls after the light storm.
. . .
Totto Eriksen, from Tromsø, told VG Nett: 'It spun and exploded in the sky,'
He spotted the lights as he walked his daughter Amalie to school.
He said: 'We saw it from the Inner Harbor in Tromsø. It was absolutely fantastic.
'It almost looked like a rocket that spun around and around and then went diagonally down the heavens.
'It looked like the moon was coming over the mountain, but then came something completely different.'
Celebrity astronomer Knut Jørgen Røed Ødegaard said he had never seen anything like the lights.
He said: 'My first thought was that it was a fireball meteor, but it has lasted far too long.
'It may have been a missile in Russia, but I can not guarantee that it is the answer.'

Project Blue Beam?
More than a little plausible, imho.
Thx.
I watched Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory last week and can safely say it was.....
HAARP.
:)
The funny thing is that there actually is a HAARP facility right underneath were these lights were observed. EISCAT.
There’s a HAARP facility in Europe?
Only one I’m familiar with is in Alaska.
” EISCAT is an acronym for the European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association. It operates three incoherent scatter radar systems, at 224 MHz, 931 MHz in Northern Scandinavia and one at 500 MHz on Svalbard, used to study the interaction between the Sun and the Earth as revealed by disturbances in the ionosphere and magnetosphere. At the Ramfjordmoen facility (near Tromsø, Norway) it also operates an ionospheric heater facility, similar to HAARP”

Tromsoe is pretty much in the epicenter of the sightings yesterday. I think the HAARP facility is Alaska is more powerful though.
Cheers.

Are people on this thread really unaware that this is the SECOND one?
I don’t remember when the first one occurred. More than a year ago, IIRC.
This story is from last year, isn’t it?
Isn’t this the same story being recycled?
I thought the OP said that this one happened just last night or night before last.
I haven’t read it super closely but I thought that was the case.
Heading to a church Christmas dinner shortly. I hope someone ferrets out the real deal on such scores.
Thx.
There have been reports for a long time . . .
of technologies available to
1. project all manner of convincing, even 3D, images in the air/onto the sky.
2. project directly onto the brain’s visual cortex images of almost anything. In 1967 or so, I asked my BA program’s physics-for-BA students professor what he thought UFO’s were.
He commented that an old buddy/colleague of his was working on a technology to project into the minds of a battle field’s opposing forces images convincing them that they were opposed by vastly superior forces that weren’t really there—except in their ‘mind’s eye.’ He said it was well on the way to being perfected . . . way back THEN.
Certainly some of the UFO manifestations over the years . . . such as Fatima . . . have demonstrated technologies manifesting all manner of dramatic images as well as objects. It would appear that compared to some of those incidents, the Norway spirals would be kid’s play—and a fairly low level of such technologies.
The net is full of fanciful and farcical explanations for the Norway spirals. I haven’t paid them much attention. I do think they generally fall under the Biblical category of
SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS of the END TIMES.
I personally don’t have any great impression as to whether the Norway spirals are the work of the oligarchy, fallen angels, Russians, or what or who. I’m more than a little skeptical it’s merely a rocket firing. Why have we had so many decades of rocket firings but only recently such spirals?
Will be interesting to see how it evolves.
Some folks associate spirals in petroglyphs in the Southwest and around the world with ‘star visitors.’ Archaeologists make a convincing case for such but I’ve not studied it much at all.
Interesting times we live in . . . in the Chinese sense of the word.
Thanks for your kind reply.
