“December 18, 1917 Bolsheviks Bore Down on Russian Orthodox Church”
“On December 4, 1917, the Bolsheviks confiscated church lands. A week later, they took control of schools that had once provided religious education. Students would now be force-fed Communist propaganda. On this day, December 18, 1917 the Communists completed their first offensive campaign against the church by making marriage a civil, not a religious, ordinance.”

“The Hijra is celebrated annually on 8 Rabi’ I, about 66 days after 1 Muharram, the first day of the Muslim year. Many writers confuse the first day of the year of the Hijra with the Hijra itself, erroneously stating that the Hijra occurred on 1 Muharram AH 1 or 16 July 622.[4]”

Nah. But, yeah. Your birthday is like a person’s wedding anniversary on 9/11 or 11/22 is all.
HBTY.
While 12/18 is a Friday, that, too, is the ‘go-to-mosque’ day for muslims. The day was chosen specifically. I started wondering why 0bama changed when he’d go to the AGW conference. It’s a whole bunch of anniversaries all rolled into 1.
I used to work with a bunch of Mooselimbs and enjoyed eating ham, pork rinds and various other offensive foods in front of them.
One of my favorites was to order a dozen or so sausage biscuits for our morning meeting and watching their faces when they realized they could not eat them. :)

“196....I have never heard before of the events I am about to describe and it was a completely unexpected discovery.
A couple of weeks earlier, the body of Edmondo Asare-Addo, a student of Kalinin Medical Institute from Ghana, was found near Moscow. On 18 December, African students in Moscow organized a rally in memory of Asare-Addo on the Red Square. They were convinced that their mate was stabbed by a Soviet student. The accounts of this rally are extremely scarce. I have found only three sources. One of them is a transcript of a program by RFE/RL, broadcasted on 19 December 1963: Africans March on the Kremlin”
