Any caddie can give yardages. When Steve Williams launched his career 33 years ago, he wanted more. He wanted to reinvent what a caddie does. "My goal has always been to positively affect the outcome for my player, to make a real difference and raise his game," he says.

I smell a book deal!NFW. Williams makes upward of $1 m per year carrying Tigers bag, just the hint of a tell all book and Williams will be lucky to carry a bag on the Nationwide tour.

He was talking back in February, and he wasn’t talking about Tiger’s bimbos.

Stevie is a thug. HE called Mickelson a p*ick and worse things. Even fawning golf writers like John (I cannot think of his name) said Tiger should fire him to rehabilitate his image. He acts like Tiger’s enforcer.

I smell a book deal! I doubt that. It's an old article with a great title for the current situation. I thought it would get some attention. It has.

"My goal has always been to positively affect the outcome for my player, to make a real difference and raise his game," he says. Hey Stevie tell me something I don't know - you just described every caddie's job. And since most of them get paid a percentage of their man's winnings, caddies have a financial incentive to do so.

The best golf lesson I ever had was from a caddie who had fewer teeth in his mouth than I had clubs in my bag. He was half my age but didn’t let me get away with anything.

Wow! Over 1,000 views in less than 40 minutes. A great title is worth more than a good story, sometimes. At least it's all based on fact. Nothing alleged, no unnamed sources. Kinda makes you feel good doesn't it.

He’s not so special, there’s plenty of folks carrying Tiger’s bag apparently.

I've been playing for more than 40 years and still haven't had the pleasure of having a caddy carry my bag and tell me what to do. I got to watch them at the practice range at Pinehurst a few years ago. They would stand behind their client and write down the yardages of each club hit.

No. John Feinstein is useless too. John Hawkins. He is on the Golf Channel too. I find sports writers, sports talk radio etc to be one of the biggest wastes of time. It is amazing how the internet has devalued most of these “journalists” so rapidly.
John Hawkins is not so bad. They are all taking the “Tiger needs to clean up his act” etc etc. My guess is Nike writes this stuff for them.

The Swedish lady Fanny Sunesson (sp?) is better than this thug Stevie Williams. Fanny caddied for Faldo and is Hendrik Stenson (sp?) caddy. Stevie is a big mouth thug.

I’m really disappointed in Tiger’s behavior. He was not raised like some other instant -millionaire sports figures. I guess values are negotiable. sd

His father dumped his first wife and family for the Thai wife. Some years ago when my sister's family was living in Jakarta and Tiger made one of his tour swings through Asia with his entourage, his mother was acting like a high society Dragon Lady i.e. Imelda Marcos. The locals my sister knew couldn't stand her.
