Two classic Leftist techniques are at work here: (1) Misdirection: "look at this hand - don't look at the other one!" and (2) The "Straw man" argument - create a caricature of the opposition's argument and attack the (false) caricature rather than the real argument.
The reporter simply defaults to Mann’s explanation, wallowing in her ignorance. What Mann did was splice proxy and measured temperature data together to make it look like warming had occured, he “hid the decline” by cherry-picking data. This is fraud!

So when Nixon said “I am not a crook” did you just say “Oh well, he said he wasn’t” and leave it at that?
And Saudi isn’t really calling for an investigation into climategate (NOT to be handled by the UN), because of semantics.
Aren’t they owned by GE? The company with the most skin in the game?

You know, this is an issue that they’re concerned with. And largely they’ve been working so many decades trying to get some traction on the global warming science that they really can’t afford to have much detracting science get out. And this was definitely, obviously, a point of concern to them.
Well, okay, then. So long as they're concerned. That makes it all right.
1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.
1) Contessa Brewer is terrible at her job. She has VERY little talent, her prompter skills are even worse than the homo-in-chief’s and she was hired soley because of a quota system and her looks. Based on the aforementioned facts and her willful regurgitation of terrorist supporting propaganda for money and status, she is nothing more than a whore. And, contessa, sweetheart...you’re a whore past your prime and WAY out of your league.
