If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
2- Jailbreak it (no more Apple-approved-only apps)
Personally, I dislike being called "ilk."
Oops... looks as if the Molinker Inc number of Apps was not 1053 as reported in the headline... that is the number of apps the guy who discovered the scam has downloaded on his iPhone... or at least that’s my reading of his email to Schiller.
Ad hominem attacks will get you nowhere.
Of course blatant slander and generalizations will get you invited back to mac forums.
By their works......

Yes, I see where that other guy did say that he had downloaded some 1,053 apps, but I'm unsure where the "title" to this current article/thread came from. All I can say is to let the story "shake out" a bit and see what the number of apps that were removed actually gets confirmed to be, by another source.
At this point, I'm not going to say one way or another on the number of apps and just go with the original article and keep looking for further articles to update the story... :-)
Three words: Windows Genuine Advantage.
Microsoft ASSUMES you’re a criminal before you open the box or start up a Windows machine.
How’s that strike you?
I saw no indication that this developer was a Windows developer. . . or an "ilk" of either the Mac or Windows type (although to be an iPhone developer, he had to have had, a priori, a Mac) so, I would wager he is closer to a Mac ilk than a Windows ilk. ;^)> In any case, none of this flame war is necessary on this thread... Apple took the right action and banned the miscreant.
Personally, I dislike being called "ilk."
Well..., I'll have you know that it's a perfectly good English word... :-), bearing no negative connotations on its own...
The only negative aspect to the whole thing is only when someone says "Windows" -- and that sinks the whole thing... down a deep hole...
Sweet. I just got that Dog Whistle one.
That flashlight works good for when I head off to bed. Prevents my stepping on my cats in the dark.
Thank you.
Hence my first response stating that the post was “offensive”, to which the response was smug and a repeat of the initial post.
This is why I detest most Mac users and will never spend a dime on one.
I use linux and other unix variants on a daily basis.
As a developer for Windows who also does iPhone dev I dislike being called ‘ilk’.
Coming from a C++ background I still dislike Objective-C and it’s [] bracket syntax nonsense.
1- Unlock it (no more AT&T)
2- Jailbreak it (no more Apple-approved-only apps)
True for the hacker/crackers around... they revel in doing that stuff...
But, for the overwhelming and large majority of the millions and millions who have bought the iPhone, you're going to find them using it in a manner that will continue giving them Apple Support when something goes wrong.
Jailbreak and unlock it and you're on your own -- which is fine for those few who like to hack and crack.
Besides, I don't know too many of the normal and average users who want to open up their iPhone to all sorts of hacker attacks, as you've given them an open door to do that, when you jailbreak the iPhone (not to say anything about no longer getting Apple support... :-) ...).
As a developer for Windows who also does iPhone dev I dislike being called ilk
It's not the "ilk" part you should be concerned about, because that's a perfectly neutral word on its own.
Where things go downhill into a deep hole to never get out of... is when "Windows" is mentioned... LOL...
In any case, none of this flame war is necessary on this thread...
Just me being "pro-active" before the Windows users get "cranked up"... :-)
This is why I detest most Mac users and will never spend a dime on one.
Whew! That's a relief. It would cause me some sleepless nights, thinking that you would actually buy a Mac... :-)
You, on the other hand, merely take offense where nothing was intended personally, and escalate......going on and on and on and on and on, ad boreum, to coin a very bad latin tag, displaying my near total ignorance of latin, and thus my lack of a real education, being a product of public school and community college. Hmmm, I can't even manage a very good run-on sentence this evening.
