Of course it is a hat. Did I ever imply that it is anything but a hat?
I’m only saying that...
1) It is a very tacky hat. Palin has usually dressed well but this hat is awful. Can’t even get the hat to match color of her outfit. The only people I know who wear these type of hats are teenage girls. Palin wearing this hat is like Obama wearing his baseball cap on backwards (which he did). It looks ridiculous.
2) It is called the Castro Cap by everyone.
I made this thread because I wasn’t sure what type of hat she was wearing. Apparently my instincts were right, it is the *typical* Castro Cap worn by teenage girls. Ugh.
(Nowhere did I say or imply Palin was Castro, some of the sarcasm is over the top. I’m just curious and critical of her hat. If people are this sensitive about someone critical about Palin’s hat, it is going to be a torturous campaign for some people.)

Google “castro hat” and look at what you find. It isn’t an army cap in the slightest except for its color. Definitely a castro hat. Palin probably doesn’t know it which is even funnier. She probably thought it just looked cute.
I just checked out several pages of hat catalogs and not one of them calls it a Castro Cap. That seems to be your hang up.
If anyone is being sensitive it is you who find this such a big topic that you had to create its VERY OWN THREAD ON THIS RIDICULOUS, STUPID SUBJECT. Knock off trying to make this about Palin and people who support her because everyone is flabbergasted that you had to go to such lengths to make your own thread on this and started this. You are now getting the responses to this all important subject! And they are right in that this is stupid.
It's not "tacky", it's not "awful" and I'm not a "teenager". I get compliments when I wear it from lady friends who all ask me where I bought it.
This thread is not "stupid". It's fun.....and enlightening. The only "stupid" involved are those who WANT to couple Sarah to Castro and those who look for anything to nitpick about her.......plus those who still wear babushkas in winter because they're so very chic and practical.
