Any Caucasian student who's attended school in Hawaii might look at her father's comment in a slightly different light.

This is the state that brought us 'Kill Haole Day'.

My first thought was the minorities were Sarah and a friend(s)? And the lack of glamor refers to being in Hawaii. One thing to visit a nice resort and beach on vacation, quite the other I imagine to go to school, live in typical student housing - and probably not right on the beach!

No worries. It doesn't have legs. An offhand remark by a dad about his teenage daughter being put off by very unfamiliar surroundings.

As someone who was in Hawaii about the same time Sarah was, it was a whole different world. For one thing, I met a lot of Asians who had a certain disdain for "haoles." Obama grew up in a melieu that didn't just tolerate diversity, but cherished it and resented white people. Japanese were the "ichiban", next the Chinese...and they had a sentimental and condescending attitude toward the Polynesians.

Don't believe me? Ask someone from Hawaii at that time about being in high school on "kill haole" day.

This smear is not going anywhere.
Why?
Because Asians are exactly the kinds of people who are likely to back Saran Palin. They tend to be very hard working, believe in the American dream, strong families, and tend to be very conservative.
Smears like this one wouldn't change a damn thing.
It's like how the Democrats have continued to get away with really outrageous remarks concerning blacks, because the blacks just refuse to get outraged if the one making the remarks is a Democrats. Joe Biden and his comments about 0bozo(b4 he was nominated BP candidate comes to mind).

It’s all Bravo Sierra. The only reason the libs are grasping for straws is the total fear they have of Sarah. It paralyzes them. Ever since Huckabee was removed from the 2012 picture the attacks on Sarah have reached a fervid pitch.

use that fact to show readers of the HuffPost

Do you realize that Sarah has her Facebook page to refute any lies and smears spread against her?
Look how fast she killed the private jet story and divorce rumors.
Plus she has dozens of blogs and talk radio backing her up.
Don't waste your time worrying about what leftist flacks say about her
