Do you have another monitor? If so, try it out and see if you have colors. Otherwise, if suggestions to install driver does not work, may be video card issue as suggested. If you aren't able to test that out, you may need to bring it to a support location. Maybe a local Best Buy location can help -call first.

After a power outage, the motherboard connected to the video card needs to be reset. Unplug the computer and push the power button for about a minute before you plug it back in. If that doesn’t work, you may need a new monitor.
