I rescind my comment:

Same hat. See the three buttons on the side.

Similar, but Sarah's does not have the horizontal seam but looks like felt(?) finish (name escapes me).

Some one will find the real one before the night's done.

Yep, well, when someone finds it please let me know. It looks like a great hat. Maybe she will post where she got it from. Maybe someone gave it to her. Expect it to start selling like hotcakes

Since they just pulled that zany "Why is Palin wearing a CASTRO hat?" thread, I'll post this HERE, from www.twirlit.com -- for all the LINKS to possible hat sources:
Sarah Palin’s Hot Hat

By Amanda Pendolino on December 7th, 2009

As much as I’m not a fan of Sarah Palin, I have to admit that she can rock a hat.

The former Vice Presidential candidate appeared in Iowa yesterday to promote her new book Going Rogue, and according to the UK’s Times Online, she chose to shield her brown curls from the snow with a green topper that was a little bit army, a little bit newsboy.

There’s no word on who designed the Palinator’s headwear, so definitely comment if you recognize it. Although most stores have now  focused their hat collections on warm winter knits, Express has a glammed-up version in black and gray that’s on sale for $22.

Anthropologie also offers a few versions of the style, including a cozy plaid one for $38, a rounded woolen newsboy in black and purple for $28, a chunky light gray cap for $32 and a button-embellished hat for $34.

UK fave Ted Baker has a sleek, round version of the newsboy hat with a bow detail in gray and red for £45. For a more expensive designer version, try Heather Huey’s black cap with felt hooks for $133 at Bluefly.com.

Classic Burberry plaid goes for $100 on Overstock.com - and Overstock also has some of the only army green ones I could find, including these star-embellished Hailey Hats for $17.

Your cheapest option is probably Forever 21’s black wool cadet hat for $6.80.
