I have never had a flu shot ever, and haven’t had the flu since 1993.

I suppose its worthwhile for someone working in the medical field or people that are particularly frail- but influenza is usually a pretty mild ailment for otherwise healthy individuals.

For three years in a row I got the flu shots.

Right after I got Bronchitis and one year I got Pneumonia

I didnt get the shots last year and I never had a cold.

I am not giving advice just telling you the facts. I am not getting the flu shot this year either.

My mother in law is in a senior facility. Ahe got her shot and of course all the seniors got it. Most of them got the flu right after....and really, really bad.

I think they have to do better with the stats to show what is REALLY happening.

I suppose its worthwhile for someone working in the medical field...

I know several people in the health care field - RNs, LPNs, EMTs etc.

None of them will take flu shots and all advise against anyone taking them. My doctor, however, pushed them like a street dealer selling crack.

I have always been suspicious of taking health care advice from someone who only makes money as long as I'm sick.
