I guess I'm he outlier here. I always get the yearly flu shot. Sometimes I feel a little soreness in my joints for no more than a day afterward, sometimes not. It's worth the trade off for me, for while everyone around me has had the flu on many occasions, I haven't had it since the ‘70s.

That’s okay. It’s up to the individual.

We are a little surprised at a clinic telling all of its patients not to get the flu shot. The doctors there evidently had seen something about it they didn’t like; don’t know what that something is.

When my son-in-law first heard them say, “Don’t,” he thought they meant simply not to get it for their little girl with the NKH—perhaps it might aggrivate that or something. So he asked to clarify.

The doctor said, “No, not for any mmember of the family, or any of his patients.” Something about it spooked the doctors there.
