Woods is getting a lot more attention than the whole situation deserves. Hell ol’ Teddy didn’t get as much attention when he had his marriage annulled and made his kids instant bastards!

Why isn’t tiger entitled to some privacy and space to work out his problems?!?!?!

Tiger had to know this would come up in the end, I guess 20 million is not a lot for freedom when you’re worth 1 billion.

Tiger may think he’s a private person but truth be told there are few people on this planet who are more publicly known than he is. A celebrity of this caliber attracts world wide attention. It goes with the territory and it is part of the nature of the beast. Tiger’s vastly lucrative endorsements make him even much more of a public figure. I personally have little interest in professional golf and never watch it on television. But I do see Tiger all of the time on TV commercials. He is very much a public celebrity. If you want privacy, then don’t attract attention to yourself. I don’t buy this idea that Tiger is a private person entitled to a private life. He is no more a private person than BHO or Michael Jackson or Arnold Schwartzenneger or Kobe Bryant. Tiger passed himself off with a sqeaky clean image all these years now everyone knows it was all a lie. Based on other examples of this type of behavior exhibited by mega celebrities—Kobe Bryant comes to mind— I think Tiger will make a come back, his golfing career will resume as well as his lucrative endorsements. He may even make more money as result of this people like Oprah will make huge offers to get him on their programs. There will be book deals, payoffs and zillions of dollars to be made in order to satisfy the public’s insatiable desire for scandal and celebrity. Also the fact that Tiger is basically black and most of the women in his life are basically white, there is the added drama of some racial context smoldering not too far below the surface.

My interest in this entire matter was from a law enforcement perspective - was Tiger getting preferential treatment because of his fame and money? As far as his personal life is concerned, sure I believe he is entitled to privacy, and I do hope he can work things out with his wife and be a better man as a result.

My uncle has a favorite saying:

“He who lives in glass houses should not sleep in the raw.”

He is a celebrity. It comes with the territory.

That was Joe Kennedy II who attempted to obtain an annulment and was refused.

The Church sometimes nullifies a Sacrament. This does not effect the status of the children, they do not become bastards.

Because Tiger Woods willing caused millions of kids around the world to say “I am Tiger Woods.”

Because Tiger Woods had a close scape with the tabloids revealing his infidelities in 2007, and he worked out an “I’ll do a cover shoot if you kill the story” deal. IOW, even getting caught, and almost offered up to the public, did not cause him to rethink his behavior or its consequences.
