This is the "Mr. Hyphen" contest, a faux pageant in the San Francisco Bay area aimed at redefining the image of Asian-American men beyond nerdy, sexless stereotypes.

Conspicuously absent from the stage were computer experts, doctors, lawyers or dry cleaners. There were, however, martial arts — with a twist.

Pahole Sookkasikon, an American-born graduate student partial to drawing, cooking, and "flirting for free drinks at the (gay?) bar," ...

Flirting for free drinks at the bar, and hoping some cute guy'll "push in his stool"? When discussing male-on-male homosexuality, they don't call it the "ick factor" for nothing. Makes my skin crawl just reading about poofiness, sometimes.

Mr. Hyman contest. LOL!

Days ago, at Thanksgiving, we were all asked what we were thankful for. I shouted “Thank God I don’t live in San Francisco anymore!”

I lived their 12 years and almost did not live to tell the tale, mentally. Almost lost it. Now, I just laugh listening to their traffic broadcasts and crime news while patiently awaiting the 8.0 earthquake inevitably due to come.

"Asian-Americans only have a 30 percent chance of finding a match, whereas whites have a 70 percent chance," Sookkasikon said.

I hate people with no sense of math. None whatsoever. I am sure the idiot blew the numbers. Beyond that, if white have a 70% chance of match, they also have far greater numbers of people NEEDING bone marrow donations. So mathematically, the much larger numbers of white people from which to find a possible bone marrow candidate is offset by the much greater number of people you are competing against. Moron.

I remember watching a “faux” documentary on Youtube about Asian-American male porn stars—I think it was called “The Legand of Don Hung.” It was pretty funny...they had all of the classic ladies there—Kay Parker, Juliet Anderson...it was pretty funny because they are no Asian American porn male porn stars...
