Why Does Every Thread (apparently) Start with an ant-Romney Ad? (a vanity post, but sincere)
clique | clique

Posted on 12/01/2009 8:38:13 AM PST by Clique

Let me be clear: I don't like Romney. I wouldn't vote for Romney. I hope he never runs for President, and if he tries, I hope he never gets the nomination. In other words -- I don't like Romney!

However, -- I am tired of having to scroll past an anti-Romney ad as the #1 entry on every article lately.

Why does every post start with an anti-Romney ad? As far as I know, he isn't even running for anything right now.

In fact, why should every article begin with an anti-Anyone ad?

I've always considered most Freepers to be very objective and fair-minded.

Has FreeRepublic turned into a one-trick pony? (DestroyRomneyDestroyRomneyDestroyRomney...etc.)

It has become quite tiresome. Could someone please tell me why FreeRepublic is doing this?

Jim Robinson, are you aware that this is happening?

Thank you.

Earlier this year Jim made it clear that if the Mythbots kept pushing their leftist candidate he would put a link on each thread showing how Myth is a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage, big-government liberal. The Mythbots kept it up and Jim followed through on his promise.

If there was a vocal group of FReepers who were pushing Obama what would you expect?

If Jim put a link on each thread showing how big a lefist Obama is would it bother you?

“Your question is a fair one, but one that only Sarah is qualified to answer.”

Her best answer, if she does run, will be the effectiveness of her campaign (as well as the debates) and how she deals with attacks. That’s why I think most of these discussions about presidential candidates are a little pointless, the front runner at the beginning very often does not win the nomination.

Well, yes it would, especially if I were using a Blackberry which takes a long time to load and scroll through graphics. Maybe I’m misreading the entire intent here. Jim can certainly put up whatever he wants to put up. I read Clique as just venting that it takes a long time to scroll through the darn thing, and I for one am just SICK of seeing/reading about Doofus Romney.

I find this site has more usefulness as a medium for communicating and organizing with like minded individuals in the effort to rid ourselves of marxists.

I honestly do not care about debating policy, we are beyond that... Im interested in executing a battle plan against the marxists so that some day, in my life time, I can debate policy within a political system that is comprised of libertarians and conservatives. Im not going to debate with a marxist, im only going to size him up as an enemy and figure out a way to eliminate his/her influence over my life.

You don’t know?

Why are you spending so much time defending Romney? Aside from him being Mormon, is there anything else about him that you like? Do his politics matter to you at all?

“VITRIOL, WE NEED MORE VITRIOL !!!!”

Problem is a faction wants to be the only ones to use it, then they hide behind Jim Robinson when they are challenged. You do know there is a difference between vitriol and spirited debate, don’t you?

I can see where it would get difficult to read on a Blackberry or iPhone, but it’s really no different than what Jim puts on each thread when the FReepathons are going on.

I’m not defending Romney as indicated above. Why are you denying (through ducking the questions) that The Huckster is a RINO and JUANnabie?

That’s fine by me. Post a thread and get it started. FR is pro-Life, pro-Liberty and pro-Constitution. All officeholders and candidates who aren’t are the enemy within. This means any Democrat who stands by his abortionist, anti-liberty party platform is a target as is any Republican who does not stand by the pro Life & Liberty Republican party platform. Unfortunately, we live in a target rich environment. The bombing begins in five minutes.

“You could ask the admin mods or JimRob in a FReepmail.
Might be a better idea than posting a vanity.”

What’s the matter with putting it out for all to see. Why do like the Libs and go behind closed doors.

As for the obnoxious ads, I think they are quite juvenile...

This thread isn’t about “The Huckster.” I haven’t discussed the Wizard of Oz either. What does that prove?

You’re going to sprain something jumping to conclusions.

"And what does this have to do with the thread question of anti-Romney info? "

The question has to do with parrying all of the threats to the future of the USA.

And if Myth’s little minions would just get the message and quit pushing a liberal I’m sure Jim would take down the announcements.
