A 38-year-old former Miss Argentina has died from complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery on her buttocks. Solange Magnano, a mother of twins who won the crown in 1994, died of a pulmonary embolism Sunday after three days in critical condition following a gluteoplasty in Buenos Aires. Close friend Roberto Piazza said the procedure involved injections and the liquid "went to her lungs and brain." "A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind," he said. Magnano's burial Monday was shown on Argentine television. Dr. Gonzalo Cortes y Tristan said she arrived at his hospital with an acute respiratory deficiency. Her condition deteriorated until she suffered the embolism.

"Somebody dying in early death. Hilarious. Go to Hell."
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a dig at me or what. However, when you can make a better sentence than "Somebody dying in early death", come back and talk to me. I have a hard time responding to nonsensical posts.

Death because of stupid vanity is worthy of a Darwin Award. I've seen those posted on here before. Do you really think this woman needed a butt job?

I have no idea what this woman needed but making fun of her death, I'm sure, was not one of the things on her list...grow up!!

As Sgt Hulka said "lighten up Francis". You asked when did we start making fun of deaths on freerepublic. You never responded to the fact that Darwin awards have been posted on here in the past. If you don't like the post, don't be like a liberal and want it censured. Be like a conservative and just don't read it. Be like a conservative and try not to force your "ethics" on everyone else.

I don't consider this Darwin Award material...thousands of people everyday have plastic surgery that doesn't result in their death...it wasn't one of those stupid, "hey, watch me" events...this woman left behind two young children which I'm quite sure wasn't her intention...
I don't try to "force my ethics" on anyone...being a conservative, I believe in the first amendment (that's freedom of speech in case you didn't know), and therefore I am exercising my right of free speech...if you don't like it...I don't really care...
And by the way, I didn't hit the abuse button to ask that your post be censured...

I'll say it again, death because of stupid vanity deserves a Darwin award. Plastic surgery to have your butt redone? C'mon! How about doing it the old fashioned way?
As for freedom of speech, you were using yours in your post to me to intimate that this should not be posted. In other words, censure. Again, if you don't like it, don't read it. You must find something fascinating in this post if you continue to read it and read the responses. Guess what? If you don't like what I posted, I don't really care either. Just don't try to give off a holier than thou attitude and tell the rest of us what to post and say.
And I'll say it again, lighten up Francis!

I don't think it says anything in there about her being a fashion model whose job was to walk the runway. It says she was a former Miss Argentina. Unless you know of this woman. Did you read that somewhere? Anyways, even in the story, a close friend was quoted and intimated the stupidity of her dying for a firmer behind.
I think a Darwin award does indeed apply when someone dies from stupid vanity. Most normal people would eat less and workout more. Even the Hollywood elites would hire a personal trainer and personal chef to get that firmer behind. Sorry, but for a former Miss Argentina, it's just plain stupid to get a butt job done.

My final words on the matter...I wouldn’t have come to this thread to begin with if I’d have known your intention was to solicit comments making fun of someone’s death...stupid vanity or not...must be a slow Tuesday morning for ya huh?...well, enjoy your thread...:)

"I wouldnt have come to this thread to begin with if Id have known your intention was to solicit comments making fun of someones death"
It has been a pretty slow news week, let alone news day. I never intended to deceive anyone. I posted the article following the rules that I have read and heard others repeat in the past. Post the title of the article. That's what I did. What was I supposed to do? Post the title and then put in parenthesis (butt jokes welcome)? I did put in my post I thought its ridiculous that someone died from stupid vanity. Of course it's humorous, even if someone died because of it. It's humorous and idiotic because someone died so pointlessly.
To: ~Vor~
you handled classlessness well, it was refreshing to read. Thank you.
To: RPTMS
Funny deaths are God’s way of telling us not to take life too seriously.
If I died from having my butt enhanced I would DEMAND jokes, not only at my demise but at my funeral as well.
You clearly are irony/humor challenged (and, no doubt, a bit arrogant).

You are making yourself look like an ass. Butt, fortunately, many of us have a sense of humor. We understand it is all in how you were reared.
I suggest you turn the other cheek.
