Gov Huckabee did not release the man suspected of killing 4 law enforcement officers. He commuted the suspect’s sentence in 2000 from 108 years to 47 years in prison. With a sentence of 47 years, an intervening party - a parole board - could decide whether he should be paroled or not. Huckabee did NOT set him free and did not parole him - but merely made it possible for him to be reviewed by others to make that decision. The now cop killer suspect was reviewed and paroled. He then violated parole. He was returned to prison in 2004. Some time later (I am not yet sure why), he was again paroled.
Do you have a link for that? I’ve not read that anywhere.
Your information is accurate.
Please note that it is our policy in Arkansas to continue releasing more violent criminals like Maurice Clemmons from our prisons in order to make room for the meth users. Fortunately, many of the parolees will leave our state and commit their crimes elsewhere, so it’s not our problem.
Dear huckabee supporter:
Drink that koolaid.
Huckabee commuted his sentence so that Huckabee’s appointees on the parole could grant the killer a parole.
If you were on the parole board who owed your job to Huckabee and you saw him commute the killer’s time, don’t you think that you would vote for parole. Of course you would.
Huckabee is a coward for not accepting responsibility. When he stands before God, God will not let him shirk it anymore.
Huckabee’s faithful followers are too dumb to let truth teach them anything.
give it up already...Mike commuted his sentence and the parole board took it the rest of the way. So basically, it was a tag team.
