Geez—who pissed in your Wheaties today?

It's me. I'm one of those relics who thinks personal privacy is sacred. And that, furthermore, just because the law requires you to give up certain information doesn't mean it should become available to anybody with an internet connection and too much time on his hands.

Pallidan, I so appreciate this. I am so tired of the general gossip nosiness of the culture and the severe government intrusion into our lives.

Heck I remember when the police would give kids a ride home and drop them off at the corner so they wouldnt get in trouble with their parents. When police would follow the drunk driver home in suburban neighborhoods to make sure everyone got home safely.

I'm with you on this. I am sick and tired of people who search out and access private data (or data that SHOULD be private) as a hobby. Its a form of stalking which I've been a victim of. Just because its legal does not excuse it.

We sorely need laws to protect our privacy from individuals who are essentially peeping toms and from marketing companies that abuse our information.

Well, it is the basis for the right to abortion on demand.
