Tiger Woods’ wife rescued him from the wreckage of a late night car crash by smashing a golf club through the window, police said.

Mrs Nordegren told police she was inside the couple’s house in a gated community in Orlando, Florida when she heard the accident and ran outside.

She grabbed a golf club and smashed the rear window of the black Cadillac Escalade to get to her husband.

Woods was on his own in the car and no other vehicles were involved. It was unclear where he had been intending to go at that early hour.

The accident happened on a day when unsubstantiated rumours about the golfer’s private life were circulating on the internet.

She hears the crash, runs out, tries to open the doors but can't since auto lock locks the doors. Sees Tiger's face full of blood- and who knows if he was unresponsive or not- grabs a golf clubs and smashes out a window.

Something about a mistress. Even if they're not true, you can still fight about them, get mad at just or unjust accusations, and slam out of the house to take a break. Not the best idea to get behind the wheel.

I haven’t seen any roid rumors, but although I didn’t bother clicking the links (till tonight), I have seen some to affair rumors. I think being unjustly accused of an affair would tick ME off more than actually being caught in one.
