I don’t know how you could actually hope that our best and brightest would run for a lesser office.

Palin running for POTUS in 2012 would be a train wreck for the GOP.

Her best strategy would be to rebuild the GOP brand though conservative ideas and being a power broker within the poltical structure as a conservative.

Do not misunderstand my post, I'm not anti Palin at all, her worst mistake was running with that turd McCain.

Name one losing Presidential ticket were the VP running mate went on to take the brass ring in modern times. < crickets >

I believe that Sarah is laying the groundwork for a presidential run in 2012. She's got a headstart over the rest of the field and contrary to conventional media spin, she is not damaged goods and she has plenty of time to redefine herself and expand her base.

She is still 12-18 months away from announcing her candidacy but look at the crowds and buzz that is already surrounding her. I am starting to get the feeling that if she wants it (the GOP nomination), she will be unstoppable.

Good, and more power to her!

God, the anti-Palinites are even getting desperate on FR. “Um, yeah, hey Sarah, maybe you should run for dog catcher, yeah that’s it, you would have so much fun, please don’t run for president.” She’s going to be president, and no MITT, it wouldn’t be a disaster for the GOP it’s called harnessing a huge groundswell movement. She is a once in a lifetime candidate and then some.

Senate is a dead end. You Sarah haters try to cover your hate in some strange ways. Neither Romeny, nor Huckabee nor any other RINO will be the nominee for the Republican party in 2012, if they are, then the republican party is dead and the base will vote for someone one else. I will personally write Sarah’s name in if one of the RINO a**hats gets nominated.

Palin running for POTUS in 2012 would be a train wreck for the GOP.

I vehemently disagree with your statement in every objective measure, and defy you to present even a basic argument as to why it's true, or what data or reasoning you're using to support it.

Understand that you are essentially barking at the moon. The conservative base in this country supports Sarah Palin like no one since the great Ronaldus Magnus, and will elect her in overwhelming numbers, should she decide to run in 2012.

I don't see how any conservative could possibly object to Sarah Palin running for President in 2012. She is our very best hope for taking back the White House, and for bringing back common sense conservatism to our government.

Name one losing Presidential ticket were the VP running mate went on to take the brass ring in modern times.

You suppose that all future history has already been written in the past. That's not true. Name one black man before Obama who has ever been elected President. See what I mean?

There's a first time for everything, and Sarah Palin will log many firsts as 45th President of The United States.

“Get lost!!!!”

No, dalereed, I will not get lost. What I see here, is a bunch of establishment Republicans, that don’t understand true conservatism. They screech and howl about “RINOS”, when it is they, who lack conservative principles.

They were all fired up for Rudy Guilani.... no, they really liked Fred Thompson.... no, John McCain is the real Republican candidate. What a bunch of sheep. They willingly embraced whatever candidate the establishment selected for them at any given time, all the while ignoring the one true conservative at the behest of the establishment. Well, how’d that work out for you?

And no, I’m not a Palin hater. Quite the contrary, I like Sarah Palin, a lot. It is my opinion that she would serve the party better as a Senator first. Afterall, how much good could she do as POTUS, if the Dems control the congress?
