I've had children and grandchildren breathlessly tell me about Ben Franklin's affairs - without any understanding of his many contributions to the country - same with stories "debunking" George Washington. It's sad - but today's "teachers" are the people who were unionized shop clerks in my day.

The sad thing is, if liberals get their way, in 100 years school children will not hear about Clinton’s affairs. why wait 100 years though, I am sure they are already being taught that, “Bill Clinton was never impeached, “MonicaGate?” Nope Clinton made the economy strong and kept us safe boys and girls. Now that evil GWB on the other hand...”
Ny daughter tells me the founding fathers are described as “radicals” every time they are mentioned in textbooks. Damn sad.
We home school and so our kids were disappointed in Ben, but spent 95% of their time studying his contributions to the
American people, human liberty and world science.
We touched on human failings and temptation from a Christian worldview. Another void in the proper education of children.
