Scriptures plainly teaches that believers are not to walk around blindly, ignoring sinful behavior or false teaching.
You seem to have been indoctrinated with the teaching of "tolerance" - a lukewarm philosophy that truth is subjective, and there is no absolute truth.
Those who would bring this attitude into the church ignore the Scriptures, because they do teach that there are absolute truths.
I wholly accept my invitation to judge; I do so frequently. However, how do you square the admonition to judge to which you referred with Matt. 7:1?
No, I stated that Mormons are wrong about Catholics. I also stated I think some of the “Christians” on this thread are exceeding their authority and judging others. Judgment is Christ’s alone.
I am perfectly willing to discuss what I believe and I can back it up with Scripture passages, since that is what Protestants seem to value most of all. Christ was tolerant of tax collectors, sinners, prostitutes and others who did not yet fully understand His message. I believe tolerance is allowing each person to have dignity and treat them with respect. I have no problem telling them where we disagree on doctrine. As I said, I often greet Mormon missionaries at the door with a smile and my own Bible. We have nice discussions. I let them know I am very happy to be a Catholic. They walk away knowing that I was not convinced— but that I wasn’t rude about it.
Of course there are absolute Truths. I do not turn a blind eye. I believe what St. Francis said, “Preach the Gospel at all times and, when necessary, use words.”
