Nana: I think you are doing it all wrong...
you wont attract the mormons that way...
_______________________________________________
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Wonder if I needed a s/ right there...
Oh, well...
The mormons are not going to listen to you, kid...
You are a pansy, a pushover, a joke to them...
Being phony and “nice” is useless to them...
The wrote the book on a phony frontand lying for the mormon lord......
Thats all those crocidile smiles and home made muffins...
and the so called “help” ???
Have a need when theres no PR attached and see what happens...
The Jesus of the Bible never told us to win the unsaved over with sugar..
Jesus didnt tell us to invite people to a tea party..
He told us to preach the Gospel...
The Gospel is a hard uncomfortable message...
It requires a 180 life change...
Thats why more people reject the Gospel than accept it...
Not because of the delivery...because of the content...
Jesus sent the woman at the well to preach to her town...
most of them came to see what was going on..
Regardless of the messager..
The nice young man with all the money and possesssions wouldnt give them up...
Jesus didnt want his stuff...He just didnt want the stuff to own the young man...
Riches like the mormons have stolen and accummulated to themselves is not indicative of success in the God of the Bible...
As for where you belong, spiritually...
You seem to be more comfortable around the mormons...
You catch more flies with honey.

Again with the cutesy sayings...
Got scripture for that one ???
I’ll wait...
That's not a universal condition of Catholics. It was the Catholics that I grew up with that is one of the reasons I left the Catholic church.
Besides, the Catholic Church does not trace its roots back to Christ himself. The beginnings of the Catholic Church are only traced back to mid 300's AD when Christianity was made the official religion of the Roman Empire by Constantine.
Those whose faith is weak create distinctions to ease their own gnawing doubt.
- - - - - - -
BZZZZ. Sorry you lose. Distinctions in belief/practice/cultural attachment have existed since the development of religion.
Neither Elsie, Ejonesie nor I suffer from weak faith. The distinctions are those that Catholics themselves use. Either one is a faithful Catholic (believing, practicing, true to Rome) or one is a cultural Catholic.
Since you do not know there is a difference, then I must conclude you are unfamiliar with Catholicism.
Not likely as much as you think considering that much of it is historical accounts in nature.
And Im a Christian. Just not the wayward microcosmic variety where your allegiance lies.
On what do you base your Christianity? The Bible? Cause that's where mine lies. But if you consider that some wayward microcosmic variety, then what is the criteria that you use to determine one's Christianity, including yours?
Now for the other question, which you evaded answering.
Do you believe that Christ really lived and died a real death to save us from real sins and real hell? Have you chosen to accept His free gift of salvation and repented of your sin? (Except the sin of haughtiness, by your own admission?)
well, keep drinking and more obscure video game references from the 1980’s should come back to you. :)
Isaiah 64:
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
***
But the Redeemer has come and has shown the way for those who repent and walk in the ways of the Lord.
Alma 7
21 And he doth not dwell in unholy temples; neither can filthiness or anything which is unclean be received into the kingdom of God; therefore I say unto you the time shall come, yea, and it shall be at the last day, that he who is filthy shall remain in his filthiness.
22 And now my beloved brethren, I have said these things unto you that I might awaken you to a sense of your duty to God, that ye may walk blameless before him, that ye may walk after the holy order of God, after which ye have been received.
23 And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive.
24 And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works.
25 And may the Lord bless you, and keep your garments spotless, that ye may at last be brought to sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the holy prophets who have been ever since the world began, having your garments spotless even as their garments are spotless, in the kingdom of heaven to go no more out.
26 And now my beloved brethren, I have spoken these words unto you according to the Spirit which testifieth in me; and my soul doth exceedingly rejoice, because of the exceeding diligence and heed which ye have given unto my word.
27 And now, may the peace of God rest upon you, and upon your houses and lands, and upon your flocks and herds, and all that you possess, your women and your children, according to your faith and good works, from this time forth and forever. And thus I have spoken. Amen.
The Mormons I have encountered have been the same. But I never grew up in the Mormon faith and never knew any in more than a casual acquaintance type relationship.
So, yes, they can come across that way, with their family values and Mormon Tabernacle Choir and all, but I do trust the word of those who grew up as Mormon, and in the Mormon church.
Actually they believe Christ had to EARN his Godhood by being perfect here on earth after he got a body of flesh and bone (requirement for Godhood).
They do believe that Jesus wasn’t always God, to them He is a Created being, like us and his “younger spirit brother - Satan”. No, I am not kidding.
Those in the state of being filthy rags are unclean and can not understand.
Repent and come unto the Lord and ye will know!
For some reason I think you are lying. Too many insider comments and indications.
Of course, you could just be a ********
Yeah. I just live here.
Is Mormonism Christian?
Nope...
Christians read and heed and quote nothing but Bible scriptures..
Mormons dont use Bible scriptures exclusively, and when they do, they usually dont know what the scripture really means...
Mormons quote dumb made up stuff that Joey Smith left them...like alma from the bom, the pearl of great price, the book of abraham, doctrines and covenants, the word of wisdom et nauseum...
none of it related to the Jesus of the bible...
Thats why the book of mormon is also known as a testament of another jesus...
That's all I ask.
Arent you thankful for womens lib such chatter can be as free as water the rolls off of a ducks back!
You come a long ways baby as the saying goes in the natural man world!
- - - - - - -
ROFL. Resty, ROFL. That isn’t women’s lib chatter, dear. In fact, in the ancient world, only women were allowed to speak of it in public, men were not. Isaiah’s use of it would have been considered scandalous at the time of writing. But because of Isaiah’s use, the term was only used while reading Isaiah, not outside of it.
Why does that vivid description of the statud our own righteousnesses before God so upset you?
“says” or “say”?
“Neither Elsie, Ejonesie nor I suffer from weak faith. “
Really? Your behavior and attitude SAY otherwise.
“For some reason I think you are lying.”
OK, good. That’s a good first step. Confront your inner doubts and self-derived fantasies.
Be introspective. Only by understanding your own faulty reasoning and beliefs can you truly begin to function and communicate with others.
Where have you been?
Works won’t “cleanse” your temple (soul), or make you right with God. Only the Blood of Jesus Christ, spilt on the Cross (not the garden) will cleanse you.
You see, Resty, God is really into that “blood thing”. Animal sacrifice, rivers of blood, used menstrual cloths, and the FINAL sacrifice, the bloody death of His only Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
And I only believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God...so far as it is plagiarized correctly.
