Female berated about interracial date, then assaulted. The black female was with a white male.

Aug. 23, 2:30 a.m.: 16th Street at Champa Street

In front of 7-Eleven store, white male assaulted in the street.

My husband and I were attacked by a gang of black kids in the 1960's. This is not a new thing. Race relations at that time were bad. I don't remember how they got better or why. But, I do know that race relations did improve. I guess the '70's were a time of other types of protests and it didn't matter whether you were black or white. Gangs are bad because people feel emboldened when they are in a group.

I thought Obama was going to make all this gang violence go away with HOPE. I feel kind of HOPELESS with the crew we have in the White House.
