A Bridgeville man told police he killed his girlfriend's puppy yesterday afternoon because the animal would not behave before the Steelers football game broadcast.
William Woodson, 22, is being held on $25,000 bail in the Allegheny County Jail, pending a preliminary hearing on animal cruelty at 1 p.m. next Monday before District Judge Elaine McGraw in Bridgeville.
The puppy, a 13-week-old pit bull named Flip, had been the focal point of recent arguments between Mr. Woodson and his girlfriend, Christine Gielarowski, 21, with whom Mr. Woodson lives on Jane Way.
Ms. Gielarowski still may face charges after she gave police a false name and address, then refused to identify her boyfriend as the suspect, officials said.
A witness called Bridgeville police at 1:09 p.m. after the suspect, who was supposed to have been walking the dog, instead was kicking it down the street, according to a police affidavit.

Proving that humans are still more dangerous than pit bulls.
Thanks for the information. I would love for her to run wild and free when her safety is not in jeopardy.
The "Religion of Peace."
Looks like she told him to walk the dog at the same time the game was on...1:09PM. Bet she did it on purpose to tweak him, and he tweaked. Lowlife...
I doubt it would have mattered what the trigger was. When an animal holds the leash, no pet is safe.
Find your local Hunting Retriever Club and join up! You don’t have to ever enter a hunt test if you don’t feel like it, just take advantage of the training days and give Patsy something constructive (and tiring) to do!
The area of Bridgeville this has taken place in is sort of “known” to be the proverbial wrong side of the tracks. Now, I know some GOOD people who have come from this area of “lesser income” making due with what they have and being raised “right.” I know families who have CHOSEN to move in or remain there because they have family ties up on this hill.
But it matters not where one comes from - as long as there’s crack involved - combined with the despair and hopelessness of poverty - anger and cruelty are a given. Little Billy didn’t like the fact that his girly’s attention was now on this puppy.
What a wonderful baby daddy he will grow up to be.
Only cops are allowed to kill family dogs.
I was wondering where Chet was myself. He seems to have no problems with killing pit bulls, or any other dogs. These may be his kind of folks.
Well, yeah, but in this case, it appears to have been your ordinary secular idiot.

Works for me. Let’s hope these worthless pieces of .... don’t reproduce, ‘cause we’ve already had the preview.
At 13 weeks a puppy is a silly, bouncing ball of adorable, exasperating silliness. I have a pit/lab mix who’s still that way at 4 years. Kicking the poor, innocent litle animal to death was pure evil. The perp deserves whatever sentence he gets.
Lovely dog. I’m on my fourth lab or lab cross. At 13 weeks they al misbehave and misbehave hilariously, creatively, exasperatingly, and destructively. It comes with the territory. You’ve just got to love them, control them, and play with them.
When I take my waterdog to the nearby lake he’s always on an electronic collar. I can’t trust him 100%, but he always responds to the ‘tone’. He knows that means “drop everything & return to front.” Save him from getting into it with other people trying to enjoy the lake (fishermen especially).
It really is a "drop everything" item. Mine know when I blow my whistle that I mean business.
(and I have a whistle on my keychain in case I don't have my lanyard. AND I can whistle between my fingers, in case I don't have my keys. They know by how hard I blow the whistle just how irritated I am.)
Toss the jackass in jail.
How about we do a “Chopper...SIC BALLS!”
Seriously.
I hope you don’t take my flippant comment as me in any way thinking what this idiot here did was OK.
No, don’t be over-sensitive.
