How Do I Change The Posted Time From Pacific Time To East Coast Time?

I just got a new lap top and all of the FR posts are in Pacific time. How do I change it to East coast time? I'm going to shower and eat cheese and will be right back.

OK, then try this...

You need to manually reset the clock on your computer. You can rub the hands into the proper position.

Here it is:

First, make sure your hands are dry.
1. Slide the minute hand to the proper position.
2. THEN, the hour hand.
3. Try not to touch the second hand.

Get in your car and drive East until the time is correct!

You can do it by driving East, but you got to drive a lot farther!

Go to the FR home page, not the FR forum page. If you are on the forum page just click on the Free Republic banner at the top of the page, that will take you to the home page. Once you are there, click on Account, My Locale, and then Set Your Location. Then select your state from the drop down list and click on the Okay button at the bottom of the page.

thanks much for your time and effort. Unfortunately it did not help. It was already set to my state from a previous attempt. Guess there is something special in my setting or browser that is causing the trouble. So I have use one of the ‘wisecrack’ answers and live with it

See 16, it worked for me. Check the clock in the lower right hand of the toolbar. You may not be on the correct time zone, I wasn’t.I reset it and now the problem is fixed.

Check on all that. Still a no go. I assume the clock you are referring to is the “windows” clock and it is set to the correct time zone and time
