I just found out today there is a 9/11 Monument in NJ that was a gift from the Russians. Has anyone in NY or NJ been to this? This sure didn't get a lot of coverage.

Check to hear if it’s ticking.

I stumbeled across it on the web. Never saw it in person but I did have dinner at the Windows of the World on top of the World Trade center once.

It was discussed here earlier this year.

I kinda like it. Sure beats the tribute to Allah they want to build at Shanksville.

As I looked at the website, I was painfully aware that ground zero is still a [tidied up] hole in the ground.

Say what you will, but the Russians still have initiative to get stuff done (not always the right stuff, but still).

Got-it, my friend.

Interesting.
Doesn't seem to garner much response.

No wonder the Russians are pissed at us. We're viewed as ingrates. LOL

I see. When I posted it yesterday it moved over to the next page rather quickly due to the volume of posts. I bttt it but the post didn't move up to the top of the first page again. Perhaps I'm not doing it right. I just put the bttt in the message field and posted it. Do I have to post it to the administrator or just anybody that happens to be in the To: field? One guy mentioned it was covered about a year ago on FR but I didn't see it in the FR search history either.

"When I posted it yesterday it moved over to the next page rather quickly due to the volume of posts."

Not sure I'm following your train of thought, my friend.
Let me try to instruct you in Freepereeze and if it's redundant for you, just indulge me. LOL

Each "page" of a formally posted article, vanity etc is a "thread", and each thread contains 50 response on the first screen. After 50 responses a new "page" is started ad infinitum. Look at large threads, you'll see replies in groupings of 50.

"I bttt it but the post didn't move up to the top of the first page again."

A -BTTT- means, "Bump To The Top", What it does is bump the entire article to the top of the main cue of threads. Meaning [any]one just signing in will see it, in lieu of posted articles/threads that've not been posted to; hence, are pushed off the main screen into the ether.

Doesn't mean an etherized post isn't available, it is. Either by going to the "Next Page", at bottom of main screen you'll see this option, of main screen articles/threads.
-OR-
By [any]one posting to [the] etherized article; which, has the same effect as a BTTT. That article/thread will go to the top of the main page que. OK?

"Perhaps I'm not doing it right."

You'll get the hang of it. Just learning the ropes, is all. ;^)

"I just put the bttt in the message field and posted it. Do I have to post it to the administrator or just anybody that happens to be in the To: field?"

Any poster's handle would do; or, leave the "To" field blank. Click on a posted reply, back space the poster's name leaving a blank field.
An option when you're responding to no one in particular, or, really don't care for 'a' particular poster.
Your choice.

"One guy mentioned it was covered about a year ago on FR but I didn't see it in the FR search history either."

Not to worry, happens all the time for a whole host of reason(s).
And then sometimes it even works. LOL

BTW since you're new, do a search on "HTML Boot-camp" & look it over. Very handy stuff in there you should at least know. OK?

I'm not so sure we are talking about the same thing. Since the monument article wasn't seen by many people I wanted to re-post it with any previous comments attached to have it appear as a fresh post.(I thought bttt and post would do that.) If I was wrong about that then it would seem I would need to re-post it as a fresh post and not worry about any attached comments. Does that make sense?

"...then it would seem I would need to re-post it as a fresh post and not worry about any attached comments. Does that make sense?"

Perfect sense; yes, it must be posted as a new, stand alone article/thread.

Not to worry, those who had seen it will play thread cop & remind you. Maybe even provide a link.
