I just passed the DVD in WalMart and thought about getting it, but resisted. Any interesting extras on it to make it worth buying?

Its a must have DVD, its like a historical event.

I have it on Bluray and you have this interactive menu of all the ships systems.

It will be interesting to see how the sequels play out, my guess is that JJ Abrams wants to parody Star Wars as much as he can but still have the basic Star Trek canon. Myself I wish they would start filming it like when they did Lord of the Rings, they filmed the complete movie all at once and then sent it out in three timed sections. This must be at least a once a year movie release, I have seasons 1 and 2 of the original series on Bluray and its amazing the added detailed and remastered images.

But this is the first of many new Star Treks… so in the future they might have a bundle price.

The DVD’s all have a gag reel I haven’t watched it yet. Some have a version for your PC or MAC. The deluxe one at target is in a package that becomes the Enterprise. I think they all have a discussion w JJ Abrams.
