A week after his notorious Playgirl shoot the results of which are due to be exposed online this weekend Levi Johnston's thoughts are on his 10-month-old son, Tripp.
At Wednesday's GQ Men of the Year Party in New York, a fully-clothed Johnston told PEOPLE that he sees a little bit of himself in his son. "He is very funky," Johnston says. "He's got a lot of energy. He's always looking to mess things up, break things. He's crazy."
Johnston, 19, says that the best thing about being a dad is "just the excitement of watching him grow up. There's a lot of responsibilities you take on. I became a teenager and I grew up really fast."
Earlier this week, Johnston who split from Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol in March announced that he is seeking joint custody of Tripp. He claims that the Palin family is allegedly making it difficult for him to see his son.
Johnston tells PEOPLE that he is currently single, a fact that might change after his nude shots go public.

Nope. Been married to the same woman for 34 years, which kind of disqualifies me.
Merely pointing out that Levi is following in the footsteps of a subculture that has been remarkably self-destructive.
Can anyone imagine the media focusing on the Obama children in the way they focus on the Palin children? I mean, seriously, have they no shame?
How so? He wants as much parenting time as possible and he is actively seeking that.
And in this instance, the conduct does contravene the status of either “father” or even much less, “dad”.
I have no idea why you are defending his boor’s conduct, but I will say, you are going to be busy on this thread.

Get a young woman pregnant and then break up with her.
I hope he follows through and tries to be a father to the kid, but personally I will be quite surprised if he’s around at all in 5 years. I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it. His actions to date do not indicate to me a very elevated character.
Yeah, he’s got the maturity of a one year old. I get it.
Are you going to cast apersions on her character in that case?
Or are you practicing a double standard?
Why not order Bristol to pay him child support?
I am casting aspersions on his character because of his actions since breaking up with Bristol. Or would you like to defend them?
There used to be a gentleman’s code of not “kissing and telling.” Not discussing one’s sexual relationships with anyone, or even admitting they existed.
I realize this is remarkably old-fashioned of me, but in my opinion Levi has NOT behaved like a gentleman since the breakup. More like a pig.
Had they broken up and he then refused to discuss the issue with the press, I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
