SAN FRANCISCO -- For Tim Lincecum, less was indeed more in 2009.
The San Francisco Giants right-hander won fewer games but added to his pitching legend.
Lincecum repeated as the National League Cy Young Award winner, besting St. Louis right-handers Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright despite getting fewer first-place selections than Wainwright in the vote conducted by the Baseball Writers' Association of America and announced on Thursday.

Sure, Lincecum's a great pitcher, but where's the huge outcry like we heard when Michael Phelps was busted?
Last year he deserved it not so sure this year
This will make my 10 year old grandaughter extremely happy (has a crush on Lincecum - keeps saying she can’t wait until MLB starts again).
Baseball fans are just relieved that is wasn’t steroids and photos of Lincecum smoking a joint were not plastered all over the internet.
I posted this for the sole purpose of making a bad pun.
263 strikouts, 14 wins...but left the game 5 more times with a lead...sub2.7ERA.
He deserved it.
Aas opposed to say Chris Carpenter or Adam Wainwright who both had more wins and ERA less than 2.7. Ks are not all that is important
Yikes....Lincecum looks like the evil spawn of Michael Jackson and Yoko Ono.
Hey, don’t ask me. I’m not seeing the attraction. However, she went from the youngest of the Jonas brothers to a MLB pitcher (and one of the best at that). That’s gotta be a step up.
Kids today !!
You said a mouthful!!
