Don’t ever let a “crisis” go to waste!
Let me say that women and children will be the hardest hit but thank Goodness that the media has reported this. Because other wise WHO KNEW?
You’re most welcome. If I gained a pound every time I just THOUGHT about food, I’d be a blimp, LOL!
“Dont ever let a ‘crisis’ go to waste!”
Well, in THIS case, it should be:
“Don’t ever let a ‘crisis’ go to WAIST!” ;)
A decent waffle iron costs $29. The ingredients are already in most kitchens. It takes about five minutes to mix it, another minute to cook it, and another minute to clean it. Eating it, in my case takes about twenty seconds, but thats just me.
Sounds like a fond memory. My Mother didn’t cook. It was below her. That, and Laundry so we learned early on to do for ourselves. I was cooking professionally at sixteen for a major National restaurant chain back in the early to mid sixties.
I have nothing but contempt for those whose kitchen equipment inventory is comprised of a single tea kettle, or pan to boil water for those instant boxed things purchased off the shelf at the SuperMarket.
College Dormitory, and similar situations exempted of course.
Everybody needs to learn to cook whether they like it or not. There are times the food factories are flooded, and the waffles just aren’t available. ;)
It's globull warming I tell ya!
"The hand that ladels the waffle batter rocks the world!"
You’re making me hungry! LOL!
Oh, Noes! I didn’t hear about a canned pumpkin shortage. Good thing I just bought 4 cans of the stuff.
I’ll sell ya one for $50.00!
Waffle bailout?
How many billions will we need for this?
Make your own or go for the Krusteaz they are better anyway
Let’s not waffle on this one! Declare a disaster zone and send Federal aid now.
If it were me, I’d be investigating some of the Waffle Houses in the area for suspicious activity.
Authentic Belgian Waffles, being eaten by an authentic Belgian. What a cutie!
Just went to the grocery store here in Indy.
Out of canned pumpkin.
So you’re correct.
I remember in the Jimmy Carter years there were shortages of all kinds of stuff, starting with gasoline and toilet paper, and the media makes it worse as people rush to hoard which disrupts the normal supply lines.
I was 16 and had just gotten my driver’s license when Carter was in office. No gasoline, and if you could get any of course it had to go in Dad’s car so he could get to work. No trips to the mall or joyriding with my girlfriends. Boooo!
Tell me THAT didn’t leave an impression at my impressionable age! I’m nearly 50 and it STILL p*sses me off! I was hoping to enjoy a perk and right of passage as a teen (I earned it; had to have straight A’s in school or Dad said, No dice!”) and Carter screwed it up for me, LOL!
Stupid Socialist...
OK. I'm done torturing us now, LOL!
Great story about the Carter years.
They were incredibly lame.
It took Reagan to straighten things out.
Hopefully someone equally capable will follow B. Hussein Obama
Whaaaat??
Now that has a real smell, if ya know what I mean?
"I remember in the Jimmy Carter years there were shortages of all kinds of stuff, starting with gasoline and toilet paper, and the media makes it worse as people rush to hoard which disrupts the normal supply lines."
Was the FIRST thing that'd come to my mind reading your comment, I swear.
I recall those days, too.
Was pathetic, grown people RUNNING through grocery story filling their carts to overflowing.
First with meat. Then coffee. As you noted TOILET PAPER. Later it was sugar and on & on.
It wasn't 'til their homes could hold no more food stuffs they paused long enough to figure out they'd been deliberately stampeded. Suckered. Used. LOL
And now they'd like nothing better than to see everyone live through the baloney all over again? Good grief. LOL!
