Let him loose in Sen. Harry Reid’s house, when Harry is in it.
Bring the popcorn and cheer on the bear.

Many have perpetuated the myth that bears’ skulls are too thick for most rounds to penetrate. The truth of the matter is that most have fired at large oblique angles to prevent rounds from penetrating. Fired perpendicularly into a bear skull, at .22 LR would do it. I’ll try to dig up a graphic of a poster showing target areas on a bear.

That .44 round must have glanced off of the bear’s skull. A direct hit would have stopped it, IMHO.

I live in central Florida and recently had a black bear visit my porch looking in the screen. I have seen him twice since and he is BIG! Here are the pics I took of his paw and claw marks on my screen!

Lackey said the owner of the bear's favorite home shot it with a .44 magnum handgun this year when he confronted it on a staircase.Ya don't bring a knife to a gun fight!! 12 ga 465 gr slugs don't bounce, or 220gr 30/06,, etc.... I could go on.

They should leave the bear alone and do something about Hairy Reid.

The bullet struck the bruin in the head but only bounced off its skull, he said. Which is why many expert bear hunters recommend shooting them in the shoulder first.

I’d been having problems with a good 400 pound black bear, while I’ve been building my house in the white mtns, of NH. I was carrying my 9mm glock, and I can testify that with the right rounds, they do penetrate a bears skull.

Carl from NDOW is one of the best bear managers in the country. Other States send their folks to learn from him. This bear is pushing even his patience. In a way kind of funny except for the damage.
