Sarah Palin appeared on Tuesday’s Good Morning America to promote her new book and hit back at liberal condescension from journalists, most notably attacking Katie Couric as arrogant. Speaking of her infamous interview with the CBS anchor during the 2008 campaign, Palin interpreted Couric’s question about what newspapers she read as "How up there in Alaska, in this kind of nomadic, Neanderthal atmosphere that you live in, how are you connected to the world?"
The former governor admitted to interviewer Barbara Walters: "Unfortunately, I was wearing my annoyance on my sleeve. And I shouldn't have done that. Because, it seemed to me that she was asking ‘Do you read?’" After noting that, at that point in the campaign, she had just completed an op-ed for the New York Times, Palin chided, "And that surprised me that [Couric] hadn't done that homework."

Baba Wawa didn’t look amused at Palin’s sarcasm about her sweet MSM colleague Katie.
Now’s too late. She should have inserted a size 8 pump deep in the Gummy Bore’s colon last year. Put the smack down on these MSM scum. No prisoners.
Missed opportunity for Sarah, why didn’t she answer that question truthfully, by saying she doesn’t read any of that liberal horsebleep, just like most Americans.
Also, that she gets all the news she needs from FreeRepublic.
What is truly sad is that if Sarah were a moderate Dem she would have gotten the royal treatment from Couric. In any event she will have to watch her own back in the GOP as well as from rabid Dems who don’t like people like her who have a tendency to call a spade a spade (i.e. honesty). Compare with McCain who “reaches across the aisle”, trying to please cats and mice at the same time.
Couric is only a few steps away from Pelosi on the stairway to hell in my not so humble opinion.
As Couric loses her youthful charm, she is becoming a more passive aggressively, angry vindictive woman.
I kind of like Sarah, but I feel the same way you do. It’s an easy question. I couldn’t get why Palin couldn’t answer it.
“On the campaign trail, I’m handed a lot of news clippings and where they come from isn’t always that apparent, but NYT, WaPo, WSJ etc. all feature prominently. etc. etc.”
