Paul Schupska knows his history. Over the years, his vast collections of baseball, World War I and II and antique toys have been displayed at community public libraries throughout the area. Whether it is a vintage GI Joe or an authentic World War II map used by Allied forces in a European bunker, Schupska prides himself on the completeness of his displays, on telling as much of a complete history as possible.

When he recently showcased his World War II collection at the Pasadena Public Library on Fairmont, the Nazi insignias were part of that story.

He has shown several of his memorabilia displays at the La Porte Community Library, which is a branch of the Harris County Public Library Systems, including a Faberge egg collection, which is currently on display. Schupska has collected a similarly vast and complete history of the American Civil War and believed the antique confederate flags were vital within the context of the collection.

He discovered that the tattered red and blue flag still conjures up mixed responses.

“The flag has caused upset in different places and because we have a large African-American community here, we just decided to leave it out (of the display),” said Wilson. “It didn’t really affect the quality of the display...."

Socialist revisionist history.

Wonder if they ever celebrate any of the Black Panthers, you know a MODERN age organization that killed cops and contributed to the Chicago 1968 riot?

Seeing as this is Pasadena Texas and not Pasadena California, perhaps they steer away from controversy in all exhibits and stick to displays on Texas wildflowers.

Wilson pointed out that the library carries books on Civil War history and contains confederate flag insignia.

I guess the library will have to take care of that little oversight right quick now, won't they.

Wilson then discussed the matter with the branch librarian and relayed the decision to Schupska, who then decided to remove his entire Civil War collection from the library.

To the library administrators, said Wilson, the decision was simply a way to avoid a circumstance which could offend patrons.

Of course. One can not be "offended" if one is ignorant as a brick.

Strange, I can’t find any part of the Constitution that guarantees a right to not be offended.

That's because the Nazi trifecta (Obama/Reid/Pelosi) aren't done yet.

Wait until Obonga adds his 'positive' Bill of Rights to the Constitution.

Yep you are absolutly correct because I know I get offended damn near every day and it is by the communists that call themselves Democrats that are prancing around in Washington Dee Cee on MY nickel.

Guess what? Those very same communists that call themselves Democrats do not give a single rat’s azz if I get offended.

Why?

I am not a communist.

I grew up in an age when public education did not include victim based sociology and "lowest common denominator global equality" but did include how lucky we are here in the US for our Constitutional Rights and Freedoms.

You know, those rights that are derived from GOD and not from government. In that Constitution that does not containe the word "offended."

I did not vote for The Øne despite his vision of the perfect socialists reform of the “deep flaws” in our Constitution that were caused by the Founding Fathers having “an enormous blind spot” when they wrote it.

I know, my bad.

According to the current administration I am being narrow minded by not reverently worshiping at their feet, praying for the apparently divine guidance in bringing about an economic redistribution of wealth in the new Øbama America. It is my shortcoming for the “counterfactual dreams” I might have because I am not thinking what the alternatives could be.

Right. Ok. Uh Huh.

That is why communists that call themselves Democrats do not give a single rat’s azz if I get offended.

I am not clear on just what is meant by “what the alternatives could be” but I am clear on this… Hussein Øbama The Magnificent is one creepy critter.
