I got mine from a video store going out of business.

I’m one of those “weirdos” who HAS to see the uncut version of *everything*.

It took me years but I finally got hold of the uncensored version of “The Devils” starring Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave.

Well worth the wait, IMO.

The only one I regret was the unrated version of Caligula. [I’m a major Malcolm McDowell/Peter O’Toole fan]

Damn.
That was one brutal, perverse flick.

Gave me nightmares.

Borders was selling a box set [literally...wooden box with wood-burned Wicker Man on it] that had both versions.

It was $50 but I bought it any way.

*Then* somebody did a UK published limited release of the official Wicker Man soundtrack.

Pure bliss and blissiosity.

The Devils is a really unsettling film. Saw it in college and have not seen it anywhere since. Oliver Reed did more than one of those. I'm on board with Malcom McDowell and Peter O'Toole. Caligula was one of those "must see" films at a certain age, and then you wished you could somehow scrub your brain.

Oddly, my mother turned me on to The Wicker Man. She and my Dad watched a very highly edited version on late night TV in the mid seventies and said, "you seem to like things that are original and weird. This would appeal to you." It's in my top five.
