I need to can since we are getting lots of deer meat & my friend tells me it tastes great canned. I've been making lots of deer meat jerky.
You need a pressure canner for meat, you know.
We have some friends who are going to try to get us some venison this year and I want to pressure can some. I’ve never done meat before, although I do a lot of soup stock, but I’ve also heard that pressure canned meat is excellent.
And you don’t have to worry about losing the whole batch if the freezer goes.
